Help our customers bring their new kitchen together, from first consult to signed contract. No kitchen design experience needed. We'll train you in our product range and systems.

Cape Kitchens designs, supplies and installs custom kitchens across the South West. We're growing, and we're adding a new role to the design team.

You'll take customers from first enquiry through to a signed contract. Our system handles the pricing, drawings and paperwork. Your job is to guide customers through their choices, keep everything moving and get it captured properly.

You'll start by learning our product range and systems inside out, so you can advise customers with confidence.

What you'll do

  • Run initial consults with new customers, in their home or by video.
  • Guide customers through selections: colours, benchtops, door styles, handles, appliances, sinks, tapware and accessories.
  • Build and update designs and proposals in our system, ready for review before they go out.
  • Manage design revisions through our customer portal and answer customer questions promptly.
  • Recommend appliance packages and benchtop upgrades that suit the customer and the job.
  • Run the final consult and get customers ready to sign their contract.
  • Keep job records, selections and follow-ups up to date so nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Liaise with suppliers on samples, availability and pricing where needed.

What we're looking for

You don't need kitchen design experience. We'll train you in our product range and systems. You do need:

  • A genuine interest in kitchens, interiors, appliances and materials.
  • A good eye for colour and style.
  • Confidence talking with customers and helping them make decisions.
  • Strong organisation and follow-through.
  • Comfort with computers and learning new software.
  • A current driver's licence and your own car.

Showroom, retail, interiors or hospitality experience would be welcome, as would any background in design, building or trades.

What we offer

  • Full training in our design system, products and sales process.
  • Flexible hours that can fit around family or study.
  • A mix of working from home and in-home customer visits.
  • Hourly pay with casual loading.
  • Real responsibility in a small business that's growing.
